According to Jacob Romero Gibson, the actor who will bring the Straw Hats' sharpshooter to life, the money has been well spent. The streaming service has poured a stunning amount of money into the production of its new series reportedly, each episode has an astonishing budget of $18 million. Moreover, Netflix's live-action adaptation of Oda's story will premiere at the end of August. Occurring in person in Tokyo, Japan and online through live streams on YouTube, the event will feature main stage events with cast members from the Japanese version, exhibitions, a screening of One Piece Film: Red, the newest movie in the franchise, and a surprise announcement.
Most notably, One Piece Day, the annual celebration of Eiichiro Oda's masterpiece will occur on July 21 and 22. Fans of One Piece have more to be excited about than just the English dub's upcoming debut on Crunchyroll.
